why haven't you got insurance??

I don't have pet insurance.

I do have pet insurance!! But I still have to find the money until they pay up :S

Sadly he's a very old collie with various allergy / thyroid etc probs... just generally wearing out a bit - bless him!

My vets claim it direct from the insurer, which helps a lot. I just have to find the excess.

Ah... I have to pay the whole bill, and a £95 excess and then the vet sends off claim forms and the ins co send me a cheque

Petplan, - it's a pricey policy - BUT he's a very old dog with lots of health problems and they pay out every time - so I'm happy

we have the 2 cats on tescos as well.

she'd stick with Petplan now because there's no limit on claims or age - unlike most and as it's an ongoing claim the £95 was some time ago!

would also be unable to swap insurers now as it would be a 'pre-existing condition' under their policy terms!

that seems wise. Mine, except for a tendency to urine crystals in Kitty 2, are pretty healthy. <crosses fingers>

we started insurance when mitzy had her inner eyelid ripped by the neighbouthoods feline thug. She was rather pregnant at the time too.
