serve as tour guide while we're there. All I really care about is fresh beignets, some fresh gumbo, and taking some photos of the sights.

Beignets: Cafe Du Monde on Decatur St across from Jackson Square. GREAT gumbo at The Gumbo Shop, on St Philip St just down the block from

the Cathedral.

I went to Cafe Du Monde that day and LOVED the beignets! In fact, that day was what made me a coffee drinker. Oh, and the Cathedral will

definitely be among the photo spots!

I went to NO when I was a kid in grade school. I remember 2things: alligators and beignets! mmmmm

Oh yeah, and beignets in NO are so much better than anywhere else! Don't know if it's the quality of the oil or the water or what, but I've

never been able to make them that good, and the ones at Ralph Brennan's in DL are good but nothing like the ones at Cafe Du Monde or

Morning Call.
