we could get rid of AT&T, but we need the phone line for security system right now until we set up our own system.

yeah we use the phone for tivo. Can do that with digi line but it's harder I guess.

digi phone makes me nervous b/c 911 isn't direct, plus you lose it if power goes out.

i have digital phone too, but if the power goes out it has a backup battery and i think it's a 12 hour battery.
