a bunch of Googlers flew down from Mountain View to talk about their APIs - OpenSocial, AppEngine, etc.

boring coz I knew most of this stuff already.

OpenSocial seems to be pretty dead, but good to hear they are still trying

I personally don't like the idea of OpenSocial. But both Google and Yahoo seem pretty committed to it. Yahoo is launching Y!OS soon.

the problem is OpenSocial just by definition has to be the LCD of all functionality on different soc-nets. never going to be interesting.
