he's not watching his bro because he's intending to feed on him. >>
....supposes it's alright for him to watch Mattie then.
wouldn't kill him if he didn't want to feed on Mattie, but he'd give him a good punch in the face~
just very protective of his brother! ;; He doesn't want anything to happen to him...
that as long as the other vampire doesn't hurt his brother then he'll be fine. -w-
he isn't a monster, but he's seen too many bad vampires to think all of them are good.
shakes his head with a sigh. "Not really personally. Most of the time I either see them when they're hunting or trying to feed on my_
nods. "And most of them aren't friendly like you are."
laughs lightly. "Nah, man, you're a lot better than most of them! The ones I've seen are really...cruel, and morbid, and they use all sorts_
of tricks to get close to their prey before they kill them..."
looks somewhat hopeful with this knowledge. "Really? That's good! I guess I just haven't really gotten to know any of the ones I've seen...
tilts his head slightly. "Berwald? What does he look like?"
hums in thought. "That seems familiar... Oh well! Can I meet this Berwald guy?" Looks a bit excited about meeting another nice vampire.
wont mention just how lonely he himself is. "Yeah, I know how ya feel... Well then, do I have to wait 'till night to meet him?"
nods in response, smiling now. "So where do I meet up with you guys tonight?"
laughs lightly. "Don't worry, I'm not either! Umm how 'bout we meet up here?"
understands, and grins sheepishly. "I would offer you advice, but I'm not too used to this stuff either!"
looks a bit embarrassed as he speaks. "Around four years now, but I killed the guy that turned me, and I haven't been able to find anybody_
to really teach me since then..."
nods. "Yeah, I guess so. When were you turned?"
's widen at this. "Woah, dang! I guess it does!" He certainly hadn't been expecting that.
smiles a bit sadly. "That's good. Hopefully you wont have to go through that new-vampire stage at all."
nods, furrowing his brow in thought for a moment. "I guess they just call it being a 'youngling' or 'newborn', but from what I've heard_
and experienced, everybody goes on this killing spree sometime soon after they're turned."
knows how he feels, and smiles reassuringly at Yong Soo. "Don't worry, I won't tell him! It's good that you were able to hold yourself_
shrugs. "Well, either way, it's good that they didn't die, otherwise you'd probably have a harder time getting over it!"
grins and nods. "Nice to meet you to!" Suddenly realizes that they don't even know each other's names, and laughs. "I'm Alfred by the way!"
's eyes widen at the action, and it takes a moment for him to hug back. "I guess I should get going now, to make sure my brother isn't_
getting himself into trouble... I'll see you tonight then!"
nods and smiles, letting go of the younger vampire. He then darts off to go find his brother, giving Yong Soo a wave before he disappears.
felt like he was being watched, but it was a feeling he was pretty used too...
continues to watch him from a place where no one would see him, also checking the surroundings for potential threats to his brother.
rubs the back of his head a bit nervously. He was going to turn down another street when heard a small commotion down and ally. He stopped-
and peered down the ally only two see two men ganging up on a young girl. With a small frown he inched closer to the opening, ready to say_
's eyes widen, but he doesn't move, not yet. His entire body is tensed though, ready to spring into action if he has to.
steps more down the ally till he's in full view of the two larger men. "U-Um... you should stop that..."
flips up the hood on his jacket so he can go out in the sunlight, and moves closer to the scene, standing just beside the entrance to the
both of the men's attention now, the girl was huddled in the corner of the ally by this point. "What'd you say whimp?" One of the asks._
Taking a small step closer he frowns. "You should stop..." "Oh? Why's that?" He moves closer still. "Because you could get hurt..."
finally walks into the alley, making sure his hood is hiding most of his face, and speaks in a low voice to his brother. "You should leave_
pauses and looks over his shoulder at the man, he didn't recognize him at all. He shook his head. "I don't want to though... She's in_
continues walking forward, pausing beside Matthew now. "I'll save her, don't worry."
looks over at him and shakes his head. "No, I started it, I should finish it."
grinds his teeth together slightly in frustration. Why couldn't his brother just listen to him? "I can handle these thugs, seriously."
frowns now and continues to stand right where he was, refusing to move. "What if I don't want to go?"
silent for a moment. "Fine. You focus on getting the girl out of here. I'll handle these guys."
stares and shakes his head again. "No... I... you remind me of someone."
tenses at this, walking towards the thugs to further conceal his face and to end the small argument. "Just stick to my plan."
continues to look bothered by this. He was positive he knew the man. He followed after him, getting close to him.
lunges forward then, to get away from Matthew and to punch one of the thugs in the stomach.
watches him, a bit shocked before he goes for the girl.
easily keeps the thugs occupied, dodging their blows and returning them with impecable accuracy while still keeping an eyes on Matthew.
gets to the girl easily enough, when he went to reach out for her though he didn't notice the knife she had picked up. A knife she easily_
turned on him, sinking it into his shoulder as she screamed and got up to run.
's eyes widen at this, and before he can realize what he's doing, throws the thugs into the walls of the alley, running to his brother._
"Mattie! Holy fuck, we've gotta get you to a hospital!"
blinks a couple times, not really regestering what happened till he felt the slight pain in his shoulder. His hand going to it as he pulled_
the knife free and dropped it.
gasps and sucks in a deep breath, holding it while he moves to examine his brother's wound, muttering a low, "Fuck..."
still in a bit of shock before he says the first thing that comes to mind. "How do you know my name?""
stays quiet as he rips open Matthew's shirt to get a better view of the wound, ripping off a part of his own jacket sleeve after a moment_
and pressing the fabric to the wound to try and help stop the flow of blood.
almost instantly pulls away from him, covering the wound with his own hand as he pressed the torn fabric to it. "I-It's fine."
frowns in concern, but doesn't move to touch his brother again. "You need to get this cleaned up and bandaged."
shakes his head stubbornly. "It'll be fine. Now how do you know my name?"
's frown is one of slight frustration now. "Look, you can either go and fix it up now on your own, or I'll carry you home to get it fixed_
glares at him now as he shakes his head again. "No. Tell me how you know my name."
sighs, moving to sling the boy over his shoulder. He sucks in a quick breath then, holding it again as he starts out of the alleyway.
"Keep that fabric pressed to your wound."
squirms and lets go of the fabric so he can slam his fist into the man's back. "Please put me down!"
barely feels it, and turns to pick up the dropped fabric. "Would you just listen to me for once?" Starts walking towards Matthew's place now
still pretty pissed off. He decides to pull a rather childish move and bites the man's shoulder.
barely feels this as well, and sighs, moving Matthew so that he's now laying in his arms. "Just calm down. I'm trying to help you."
glares up at him, clearly not impressed. He stops squirming though when he tries to get a decent look at the man's face. "How do you know_
turns his face away, smiling bitterly. "Instincts." He then hands him the fabric again. "Now put pressure on that wound."
takes the cloth from him and presses it to his wound. "I'm not letting you or anyone else touch it until you tell me why you know me."
nods, and stays silent as he gets closer to Matthew's place, content on not telling him what he wants to know.
goes right back to glaring at him as he throws the piece of cloth away. He would bleed then, apparently that bothered the man.
makes a noise of frustration at this, and retrieves the cloth again, but doesn't hand it to Mattie. He's silent until they reach his_
brother's home, and then he sets him on his feet again. "Make sure to clean that wound before putting gauze on it. And remember to change_
the bandages every day, Mattie. We don't want it getting infected." He smiles softly at his brother, keeping his head down so that the hood_
still cover most of his face, and turns then, starting to walk away.
watches him and can't seem to stop the tears in his eyes. Not tears of pain from his wound, but from something else. He rubs at his eyes as
he sniffles a bit and turns back to his door, fumbling his keys as he tries to keep from sobbing. For some reason he was really reminded of
his brother just then. His brother was dead though. So it couldn't be possible.
looks towards the mostly-set sun now, and flips his hood off, examining the ripped sleeve of his jacket and pouting slightly. "Dang Mattie,_
made me tear up a good jacket." He didn't mean his words though. He would do anything to protect his brother.
finally got inside and started crying, even the sleeve of his hoodie wasn't soaking up the tears fast enough as he slid to the ground. The_
wound quickly forgotten. He was starting to feel a little headed.
pauses, remembering that he probably shouldn't leave Mattie alone for too along, especially when he's bleeding all over the place, and_
makes his way to the boy's window, peeking in to see what his brother is doing.
had his face buried in the sleeve of his uninjured arm, trying to stop the tears but unable to. He missed his brother... a lot.
more than anything he could go comfort his brother, but he knows that it would raise too many questions. It would change the world that_
Matthew knew, completely. A pale hand comes to rest silently on the window pane, and he frowns, an empty longing feeling washing over him._
No, he couldn't be more than a stranger to Matthew anymore. That life, that time, was already gone.
continued to cry into his sleeve till he started to feel really tired and weak and the pain finally set in. Hitting him harder than he _
thought possible. He slowly scrambled to his feet, using the door as support he fumbled with the lock but couldn't get it. He slipped a bit_
as he tried to get to the kitchen. The wound, pain killers...
fought back the urge to help him, watching with a worried gaze and trying to send him encouragement mentally.
got to the kitchen, but didn't make it to the cupboard, he more or less collapsed on the floor, curling up on himself as he slowly drifted_
cursed slightly under his breath, and finally entered his brother's home, finding the first aid kit quickly. He then held his breath as he_
went over to Mattie, getting out the alcohol and cotton swabs to clean his wound.
only half asleep, he was vaguely aware of someone else in the room with him.
immediately starts bandaging the wound then, using surgical tape to hold the gauze against the injury.
stirs a bit as he feels someone touching him. His blinks his eyes open slowly and looks up at him. "Y-You..."
forgot to put his hood back up before he went inside, and glances at Mattie's face for a moment before he starts wrapping his brother's_
shoulder with an ace bandage. It was technically not needed, but he wanted to be sure the gauze wouldn't come off.
stares at him for a long moment without saying anything else. He was pretty sure he was imagining things. "Alfred?"
freezes, reaching for his hood. His heart drops into his stomach when he realizes he doesn't have it on, and he shoots his brother a_
lop-sided smile, trying not to expose his fangs. "Sorry, I think you've got me mistaken for someone else."
