Dont get overwhelmed. Dont be afraid to mark all as read. dont feel bad to use the mute button.

dont try to respond to every.single.plurk. Pick the ones that you want to join in on.

You can also unfollow someone. Still be their friend, but unfollow them and then their plurks wont show on your page.

That can help if you have someone who you dont like their plurks.
