haha, new home as in specs i desire on my comp!
still deciding whether to buy the laptop or the desktop model
desktop means i can SLI, or crossfire the bastard
actually right, imho you can custom build a sic AMD system for $1k
AUD and get a decent notebook for travel
tried... custome build at MSY
intel i7 930, asus x58 motherboard
use one of the custom builds there
i dunno man, i would still go AMD
price came up to 2300 plus gst
get like a 955BE with a new 890Fx chipset mobo (AMD)
bad experience with AMD... always overheating
get like a proper cooler heatsink etc
i think the 930 x58 combo is like a bit more $$$
fan system with 4 output pipes
yo ucould've RMAd your stuff man or din apply heatpaste stuff properly
$320 for the 930, $254 for like GA X58-ud3r .. what else was inyour build to top it over 2.3k? monitor?
just get like a lianli k62 case, 750 antec TP psu, 5850 1GB, 1GB WD Black, 6GB ram should just be under $2k w/o OS
nehh, took the thermaltake box
8gb ram, one ssd, one sata 3.0
ssd mainly for OS and other critical applications
ooh SSD, i dont think its worth the price now le
get 6GB should be more than enough so u can use triple channel
but 2.3K was exp... that's why i looked at alienware
plus the RAM and HDD MSY quoted was a brand called Patriot
he said it was the same as kingstons
ugh patriot = not as good
i mean i prefer my HDD's to come from WD
so for 2700, Alienware gave me the specs i love
well, its either i buy the comp, or go crazy and get meself the VW Tiguan = )
i'm just wondering what specs u have le
bad influence... everyone poisoning me to buy
i dont have the sheet with me now...
but the main parts were PSU, thermaltake, x58, crossfire (already 585 there)
8gb RAM, one SSD, one sata 3.0
the ddr 3 ram i think should be 1600
the SSD already $128 leh..
BTW - this is the best Kiwi ad to date!
i know alienwares are over priced
i so double dare you to crossfire 5970s LOL
i'll need a dedicated aircon just for the box
480s dont match the power of 5970s
lolyour power bill will shoot thru the roof
actually to be honest i heard 460s do a good job in the SLI department
yeh, it comes down to brand preference
if u c/f 5770s might as well get a 5850
yeh, either that or save PCI space
cause if u run 1 more powerful card than 2 cards
1) save space, use les power even when in low usage environments, less heat etc etc
running out of PCI slots man
cant even fit a wireless card in...
but i think 1.5GB graphx card should suffice for now
no game sucks that much graphics
not even crysis on super high quality mode
screw crisis, inefficiently coded stupid game
its just a good benchmark to see if your comp can support demanding BS
i bet you if they used the tsubame to run a standard game of crysis it wouldnt even get 300 fps
i'll need at least 10PCI slots la
lol and water cool the damn thing
but seriously just one 460 is good enough dont need to spend too much on even a gaming box
4gb of dedicated graphics
1 x 5970 is like 2 x 5870s you know lol
so its lamost quad firing 5870s
winter confirm noneed heater liao
wonder what configs they use at cyber cafes here
5770s or something or even 5450s
go ask my mate this weekend
JOR DO MA TEH..... 2700 k for desktop alone. or desktop Plus monitor?
i'm still lovin my amd rig.
crossfire boards are damn cheap here. RM310 can get an asus crossfire board d
