potatoes and other veggies in the cupboard
timbuckteeth says
I know - a shepherd's pie!
robp says
yes, I'd go with shepherd's pie. That's what I'm doing tomorrow night. What timbuckteeth does today, the world does tomorrow ;-)
misetak says
that is an obvious choice - how hungry are you? Can you wait that long?
timbuckteeth says
wot 30 minutes? That's all it will take me...
timbuckteeth says
robp: you are a case...! (LOL)
misetak says
that's ok then.
timbuckteeth says
now to decide on tomorrow's fayre...
misetak says
Is this still the mince or have you got something else?
timbuckteeth says
(hungry)I put tomato puree in to make the sauce richer...
timbuckteeth says
I;m still mincing, yes...
misetak says
chili con carne - with spuds or rive.
misetak says
*rice
timbuckteeth says
pasta
robp says
yes, chilli con carne - but you need real chillis if they're easy to get, they're so much nicer than the dried or powdered variety.
timbuckteeth says
conchilli
timbuckteeth says
would like real chillis, but careful not to rub my eyes...
timbuckteeth says
I also use sambal olek sauce sometimes...
misetak says
chili and pasta??? really?
robp says
I think it goes best on baked potatoes.
misetak says
If you want pasta, what about making meatballs.
robp says
timbuckteeth on being a case, I think I'm getting cook happy. Been doing all the cookign for a month while wife recovers from operation...
Nanknits says
we call chili and pasta, "chili mac" over here. Add some parmesan on top and it's just lovely.
timbuckteeth says
muy caliente!
timbuckteeth says
misetak: yep - goes well together - chilli and pasta
robp says
...went back to work this week, and she has declared she needs another month, so I'm working and cooking...
timbuckteeth says
robp: been there - got the T-shirt (2 years ago my mrs was out of action for 6 months)
timbuckteeth says
Nanknits: parmesan is a nice tocuh, so is melted mature cheddar
timbuckteeth says

robp says

timbuckteeth says

timbuckteeth says
off now to cook - got 5 hungry mouths to feed.
timbuckteeth says
thanks for all your advice everyone!
timbuckteeth says

Ha! Too many cooks!
Nanknits says
I've also tried it with Romano, I liked it but not everyone cares for that cheese.
robp says
I have to avoid cheese because of family allergies. Soya cheese is good but has only one flavour, so gets a bit boring.
supergran says
you have it all sussed so I won't add anything :-)
timbuckteeth says
dinner is cooking away nicely - spuds are nearly ready for creaming (tongue)
Nanknits asks
what did those poor little taters ever do to you?
timbuckteeth says
well they are beyond caring now, amalgamated with cream and butter
timbuckteeth says
sauce is finished and ready for the topping of creamed potatoes... B-)
timbuckteeth says
Then a sprinkling of cheese and into the oven...

And so was born the Plurker's Cookbook (hungry)
Nanknits says
why oh why did I tell my friend that we could wait until 10:00 for brunch. I'm starving here. (insert large-ish sigh.)
robp says
Nanknits have a nibble of something and don't let on
Nanknits says
no, I'm saving myself for the Moroccan oatmeal. But we are SO having brunch earlier next time.
robp says
enjoy, when it arrives. I'm deplurking now to head for the supermarket. Byeee.
timbuckteeth says
just about to serve up - cheese is bubbling on top of the pie... (mmm)
timbuckteeth says
anyone want some??
ThePython says
Bon appetit (mmm)
Nanknits says
