jefftw: yes, this is the key point !!
How Obama Thinks

2012 will be a referendum on Ma's pro-China policy.
Obama is not as magical as what he appears to be. He mainly caught the anti-war momentum in 2008. US people REALLY want to end the Iraq War
PBS FRONTLINE just did a good summary on Obama's Health Deal last night. Watch
video.pbs.org/ when it is on-line.
Republicans are expected to fix the bill passed by Obama. That is why Obama released the willingness to negotiate.
It is believed by experts that US can not follow the "health-plan-for-all-people" in socialist nations.
Therefore, there is a need to fix the "Obama-care" urgently. Watch the video, and you will understand how Obama brute-forced the process.
The video concluded that Obama administration would pay for the price, which predicts exactly on Tuesday election.
It also predicts the damage may prolong to 2010 re-election.
In US, not many people particularly make a strong point that Obama is from minority group.
Obama's mom is white female, thus his campaign 2008 never stressed this point on race. What Obama did well in 2008 was anti-Iraq-war words.
These promises like "Chang We Can" won the support of young generations and independent voters.
It is true that Iraq War was started without sufficient evidences. That is why Republican candidate could not reverse the trend.
Similarly like KMT used CSB case so hard in the media that Frank Hsieh could not reverse the misconception made up by KMT media.
However, US trend is really true while Taiwan trend can be made up by KMT media to fool around the voters.
Since Taiwan does not have Campaign Laws to regulate the political donations, I frankly do not think CSB violated any laws in Taiwan.
