Nana is a very dumb, innocent girl who decides to change for the best in high school

she meets this popular kid Yano who is kind of a dick

and she doesn't like him at first BUT. as you probably guessed, she falls in love with him later.

Then she finds out Yano's girlfriend died a year ago

they were on bad terms when she died. Her name was also Nana.

Yano's best friend has a crush on dumb nana and tells Yano that he'll steal her from him at any moment

It sounds like a typical romance, but Yuuki Obata won a prize for this

so don't think it's run-of-the-mill.

dead Nana had a sister, who had an affair with Yano (idk why though she looks like a bookworm)

and Yano's mom is sick. Nana is thinking of studying abroad. It's intense.

This is good if you're in the mood for something light-hearted but serious at the same time
