She's not in there yet. She meets with the doc for the final okay next week, then comes the surgery.
But...yah...when you're already figuring out ways to puree Snickers bars so they won't make you sick after the event, kinda a lost cause

Heh. I'm impressed with your good humor and detachment. And perturbed that Mom's doctor has not poked big holes in her denial.
I confess I've got a whole soapbox rant about bariatric surgery, its hazards and its marketing, that I will mercifully spare you 
Oh, we've been doing this dance for *years*--every time she gets right up against time for the surgery, she backs out.
Sigh. Having witnessed similar familial behavior, you have my utmost sympathies.
