I mean I'm not naive enough to think it's settled and permanent and perfect

but I took someone who fundamentally didn't agree with the idea that like ... rape jokes cause rape culture

and caused him to understand what triggering means to people and that rape jokes contributed to badness

I mean, of course, a lot of it was because he finally managed to connect the dots to his own thoughts about himself/his experiences

but really ... it like ... worked

I'll admit it helped that he started off as a fundamentally decent human being and stuff.

He was just ... yaknow, a guy. A guy who didn't have to think about this stuff, and now he's thinking about it

And he's ... vaguely upset I ruffled his peaceful privilege bubble, but he knows it was the right thing

so if you get a toaster oven for turning someone gay, what do you get when you convert someone to feminism?

Hell if I know, but I'm waiting to see if it sticks. His general upset about how much crap is out there gives me hope, though.
