yes, I agree. shows the addictive qualities of caffeine.
It sure does! That's the only way to explain it right?? Like cigarettes I guess...
I guess. the aroma must play into the equation too, I think.
in previous plurk about icy roads and holidays, I wondered where in Wales you like to go. we've spent time in Ffestiniog area.
Well I grew up in the south east - in the valleys near the Brecon Beacon mountains. It's very beautiful there - rugged
But I think my favourite place is the Gower Peninsular! Ffestiniog is great too!
Can't believe you've been there - not many americans even know Wales exists!! Haha!
I'll be going to Monmouth to the folks this year though!
I'm pretty jealous that you're going anywhere in Wales. When hubby worked with Unilever, colleague and family introduced us to north Wales.
Ah! You should come to South Wales too - even more beautiful. More rolling hills!
my dad's mother's family is still in Swansea. I'll look up mining town where the originals lived: Rhandermwyn?
did you, as a kid, read the Susan Cooper series, "The Grey King" etc.?
Oh wow! I like that area too. Never read the Grey King, but will look it up!
I read this article ages ago in National Geographic or something about how coffee was popularised during the Industrial Revolution when
people stopped working in the fields and using the sun to control their waking hours, and moved into factories, and so needed an artificial
stimulant. Sorry, that was pretty long!
It's too funny a thing to be so popular because it's tasty.
