assures the younger nation that it will be okay!
nods hesistantly. She isn't so sure, but at least she isn't on her own.
puts his hand on her shoulder trying to be comforting. "Hey, I wouldn't lie to you!" Doesn't really know who she is, but he isn't a liar--
relaxes slightly at the contact. "No, but..." She blushes and trails off. She doesn't really know who this guy is, either, so she's not
about to reveal her weaknesses to him.
frowns and tries to hit this from a different angle. "My name is Aloys, I'm Liechtenstein. I used to have problems with thunderstorms too."
a bit confused. "I'm Izzy, and I'm the Principality of Wy. I thought Liechtenstein was a girl, though."
scratches the back of his head sheepishly, "Ah yes, right. I'm a different Liechtenstein. Nice to meet you."
finds this a little odd, but alright. "Nice to meet you, too." She hears a rumble of thunder and jumps in fear.
jumps a little at her jumping. Wonders if he's really qualified to give out advice on bravery. "Oh! Uh did you know you can figure out how--
--far away the lightning hit by counting the time in between when you see it and when you hear the thunder?"
shakes her head. "No, I didn't... that's pretty cool." She glances up at the sky and waits for the next flash, trying not to tremble.
nods, "You see, you just count the seconds and divide by three and that's how far away it is in kilometers!"
smiles slightly. "That's a neat trick. We should try it, next time it happens."
smiles back, glad she finds it interesting, "Alright, let's do it."
nods and shifts her bunny in her arms. When the next strike comes, instead of wincing, she starts the count. "1..."
counts with her, "1...2...3..."
continues, "4... 5..." She closes her eyes as the thunder booms overhead. "That was 5, wasn't it?"
nods, "Yeah, so it's almost two kilometers away. That's pretty far."
it doesn't that far at all. "I guess so. It'll get closer though, soon. We should go inside before it starts raining."
actually thinks that's pretty close too but is pretending to be brave. "Good idea."
looks at their surroundings. "I know a library around here that'd be open. We could wait it out in there."
"That sounds perfect. Let's go."
leads the way to a building around the corner and pushes the door open as the sky lights up. She starts counting again under her breath.
counts as well, wondering if it's further or closer. Follows her inside the library.
reaches 6 before the thunder, this time. "That means it's further, right?"
nods. "Yeah, maybe it's moving the other way?"
looks out the window. The rain had just started. "Yeah, maybe. Looks like we got inside just in time, though."
watches the rain fall. "Yeah. Good thing. At least we're somewhere interesting."
shrugs. "I guess." She doesn't like reading much. She just knows where this is because she gets reference books for her art here sometimes.
picks up on the lack of enthusiasm. "Well, sometimes libraries have movies too," He wasn't familiar with this library, but it was possible
smiles at that. "Really? Let's go ask." Watching a movie would be a great way to pass the storm.
smiles back, "Hopefully they'll have something good." Isn't really that picky.
the lady at the front desk if they have any movies, and gets directed to an area set up near the children's section. Apparently, she and
Aloys are not the only two taking refuge from the storm in the library.
follows along after Izzy. "I wonder what they're showing," he says quietly.
whispers back, "I don't know. Some cartoon thing, it looks like." She sits at one of the tables near the back, putting her bunny on it.
probably too old for whatever it is, but he sits down near Izzy and looks over toward the screen. Either way it'd be better than watching
would love to think she's too old for it, but is just as enthralled in the story as the kids closer to the screen.

catches herself just before cheering with the littler kids at the climax of the movie. That would have been embarrasing... It looks like the
storm is still going though.
amused by the kids and their cheering. Notices that they'll likely be there for a while.
turns to Aloys. "They're picking the next film now. Do you have any ideas?" She hopes it goes on soon. She can't hear the rain when it's on.
Aloys

about movies that he likes that kids would also enjoy, "I think they should put on... How to train your dragon. That's a fun movie"
remembers going to see that. "Yeah, that's a good one. Should, um, we go up and suggest it?"
looks at the people near the front. "Okay," stands up to go speak with them.
looks around at the shelves of books around her whilst she waits for Aloys. They were very colourful and pretty.

comes back once he's done. "Mmkay, they said they would play it." He smiles at Izzy.
smiles back. "Great. I bet the kids will like that." She wonders what Aloys had been doing in town, before the storm started. She hopes it
hadn't been too important, or at least that it could wait for a while.
nods, "I hope so." Was really just braching out to see new places.
