I am trying to get him to end the ban on cell phones and allow teachers to utilize them for instructional purposes.

texting for formative assessment, bringing parents into class discussions, reaching out to experts on topics, etc.

i bet they could text right in front of him....the tech is not going away, embrace it or be left behind

I am with you all. I am wanting them to not make innovative teaching a "crime." The teachers either need to violate the rules or be current.

In 2 & 3 grades, it hasn't really become an issue, but I figure in about 3 yrs when it does,y'all will have it figured out for me.
