I think Chrome for Mac is in a pre-beta phase of some sort. Sigh.

Still, you gotta ask, it is ever going to beat Safari or Firefox, on the Mac?

I like Firefox, but a little pokey, Safari is faster, but no addons. I'm a fan of Flock, but can slow down like FF does. No cake!!

the little touches of animation that are present throughout Chrome, like new tabs, downloads, etc.

also, WebKit (the browser engine behind Safari and Chrome) scrolls much more smoothly than Gecko (the one behind FF)

True, Webkit is better.
