is a little surprised to see a grown nation do such... child-like things.
hasn't done this in a long time, but he had nothing else to do.
thinks it's kind of cute anyway... wonders if a pretty paper napkin will be useful for similar effects.
may need to try that. It sounds like a nice touch.
some with painted flowers. And now she's folding one of them so the painted rose will be on top...
folds a napkin boat, and sets it with the other boats he'd made.
chuckles and sends out the rose boat after the others.
looks at her. "That one looks nice." He pokes at it.
stares back at him and smiles. "Of course it does. It has a pretty rose as its captain and it will carry on with dignity..."
smiles in return. "Of course. None of these have a captain. I suppose they'll just drift aimlessly..."
nods. "So they will go on and on until it's time to go down. A little sad, in a sense."
pushes his glasses up his nose. "Ah, well, they're just paper boats, if thinking of it that was is less sad."
fixes hers a bit. "Ah, that's a good point. Maybe it's because it reminds of more... innocent, child-like times?"
nods at that. "It's nice to relive those times. It's been so long, after all."
watches them. "So long ago I was a little girl raised by Ancient Greecen and then by Rome, later taken in by mon frere Francis --
--as well as interacting with Italy and everyone in the Mediterranean..."
pokes at a boat. "I've seen many small boats like this...as well as many, many larger ones...ahh. Well. I suppose I still do."
pushes the Rose Boat forward a little with her hand. "Same goes to me, too. From small wooden boats to luxury yatches..."
nods. "Ah, we're very alike, aren't we?" He asks, folding another boat.
watches the boat float away from them. "It certainly seems so. And if I'm not mistaken, you're Macau, aren't you...?"
nods at that. "And you're Monaco." He replies.
smiles. "Yes. I never really had a chance to speak to you, despite what we have in common and not, and I'm sorry about that."
waves a hand at that. "Oh, don't worry. It's no problem. I seem to spend most of my time doing things that need to be done..."
then nods at him, keeping her calm smile. "Which is, again, something I tend to do. We shall always keep our casinos and tourism running..."
nods at that. "Of course. They're vital. Ah, and the Grand Prix...that's next month, hmm."
shakes head. "Mine is on May. Then again, I'm already checking on details for the next one, since it's on my streets and I must make sure--
-- my people and my capital will perform well. From checking on security to making sure the balconies are rented at good prices... so much--
nods at that. "Ah, well, if you would attend mine next month, I will attend yours." He smiles at that.
nods back, her eyes shiny behind her glasses. she loved art and aesthetics, but she appreciated a good race too. "I'll be there for sure!".
smiles a little wider at that. "Alright, then, it's a date."
a little surprised. Wasn't it a little soon, no matter what France and Spain told her about taking more "risks"...?
// But maybe... taking one right now may not hurt. "... A date, then."
nods, and looks back at the paper boats.
sees that she has more flower napkins and chuckles as she makes a boat with a jasmine one.
folds one from another flower napkin, smiling softly.
soon setting the jasmine boat on its way. "So we'll soon have the whole army, hm?"
laughs quietly. "Yes, we will."
nods and looks at her napkins. "A lily one... pure as the sea should be." And so she starts folding it too.
watches her do so. "Ah, but it isn't so pure, huh..."
purses her lips slightly. "Yes. So many things happen in the sea, some of them leave it in such bad shape..."
nods, folding another boat. "It's a shame, really..." He says, sighing quietly.
takes another flower napkin... "Oh." She smiles; this one has a lotus, which as far as she knows it's his floral emblem!
glances at it, and smiles a little at it.
then places it on his hands. "It's your flower, so you should send it away..."
takes it, and sets the lotus boat on its was. "Good luck, lotus boat."
watches him so do. "Au revoir, lotus boat. May you sail as farther as you can."
