smiles at the female America, knowing immediately who she is. 'Hello pet, have you seen my jammy scone?' He pats her hair.
blinks at him and waves his hands away, not liking being treated like a child. "No... I didn't take any scones. Yuck."
chuckles. America was cute. 'You don't like scones? Would you rather have a, oh what is it you call it, doughnut?'
blinks and perks up. "You have doughnuts???"
nods. 'Ones with holes in the middle, maple ones, jam ones...' He lists off the food in his local bakers.
beams up at him and tugs his sleeve. "Let's get some of those!"
holds out his hand for her. He just couldn't see past the little child he used to tell stories to. It rarely occurred to him the child was
a fully grown adult. "I owe you one, it's been so long since I last treated you.'
smiles and takes his hand. She still acted like a child so it wasn't hard. Though if he said as much, she'd be angry at him. "Oh thank you!"
swings their hands as he takes her down to his main bakers in Cardiff. He turns to her. 'What would my little American like?'
swings her hands with his and gives him a smug little look, "I'm not your anything but I would like a maple one. I bet they taste like
taps her nose. "Don't be rude to your Uncle Wales.' He smiles. He orders her a maple doughnut and has a jam one for himself. 'Little Matthew
won't be so little now anymore. It's sad, he grew up so quickly.'
scrunches up her nose when he taps it and waits for her doughnut. "I'm not being rude! Matthew's a good man know though.
That's what matters right?"
"Exactly right." He is ever so glad both America and Canada turned out alright. He has to admit, he did worry when they were children.
