vascular-pump-splattered-all-over-the-wall in love with the story
now that I think about it
it does not really make sense for me to get up in other people's grill about how THEY SHOULDN'T BE ANGRY AT THE COMIC JUST BECAUSE IT
HAPPENS TO NO LONGER BE WHAT THEY WANT
I just did the exact same thing with Doctor Who
SLOWLY TICKS OFF ONE FOR HER HYPOCRISY COLUM OF THE DAY ...
ahahaha YEAAAAAAH Doctor Who uh. series 6 sure does do that.
and for the record it's not even anger anymore for me it's just
sheer overwhelming apathy
which frankly bothers me less than statements about hating the comic for not being what it used to be
but I genuinely hate several episodes of season 6 of Doctor Who just ... because ... season 5 was so good
...to be fair a lot of season 6 just is genuinely weak
and your analogies are very impressive.
yes my analogies gleam in the sunlight
and season 6 was OBJECTIVELY TERRIBLE
but it was made worse by the coagulate awesome of what preceded it.
like I would have just been apathetic except it wasn't characters I didn't have any interest in being mucked about with
it was characters I had learned to love!
it's like giving a dog bacon and then administering an electric shock just as the dog sinks its teeth into delicious pigflesh.
another annoying thing with series 6 is that it started on such a high note
A Christmas Carol was fantastic and the opening two-parter was...a little rushed at points, but overall pretty great
i loved everyone's dynamic in the two-parter even if the plot itself was sort of chunkily done
AND THEN CURSE OF THE BLACK SPOT HAPPENED AND WE BEGAN TO WORRY...
Then The Doctor's Wife which was amazing then
NEIL GAIMAN IS AN EXCEPTION TO EVERY RULE
AAAA DOCTOR WHO STOP BEING A ROLLER COASTER OF QUALITY
actually I mean I quite liked the two-parter after that for MOST of it
the revelation it led up to
yyyyyyyyeah i liked most of a good man goes to war
I LIKED THE PARTS THAT WERE NOT ABOUT AMY'S SECRET PREGNANCY AND HOW RORY WAS COMING TO FIND HER
Let's Kill Hitler...iiiiii was able to enjoy it until i sat and thought about what i'd just watched for about ten seconds.
hahahahahahahahahhahahahahaa
I LIKED THE DOCTOR BEING AWESOME
yyyyyeah pretty fucking much
yes I liked the Doctor being awesome and I liked Victorian Silurian lesbians
but jesus christ River Song's ~~~~backstory pissed me off
i think the most irritating thing about the backstory was how predictable it was
yeah and how fucking reductive and boring and shitty and
eh some people don't really like neil gaiman's recent works either??
friend of mine had been calling it ever since the release that had series 5's companion as Amy Pond
yeeeeeah A PERFECT RESPONSE
hahahahahaha OKAY YES THAT IS AN EXAGGERATION I like a lot of the things Neil Gaiman does but ultimately he's hit-and-miss, for me
though I found the Doctor's Wife to be really fantastic.
but yeah god just ... COULD WE NOT HAVE HAD HER ENTIRE LIFE REVOLVE AROUND THE DOCTOR ... could she not have been ~~~a psychopath whose only
I think I'm only able to stay connected to this canon half of the time because my favorite Doctor was only on TV once and still has
motivation was that she had been CUNNINGLY BRAINWASHED
regularly-scheduled audio adventures while being dapper as fuck in a wood-paneled TARDIS with a fireplace.
