would also like to admit that he doesn't know what that contraption is. He thinks technology these days... just impossible.
thought these things were pretty expensive, it was surprising someone would leave it.
personally does not understand why anyone would need something like this... especially if it's supposedly expensive. He'd rather not just
throw out his money like that, thank you very much.
agrees but then is pretty sure that Austrians are very cheap in the first place.
would have let out an undignified cry at that... if it weren't true. Still, he can't help but feel a little insulted. And he doesn't even
stares at him flatly. "Grüezi, I'm Switzerland," she greets the man who is staring at what she's holding.

it's a little strange he is doing so though.
"..." To say he is appalled is an understatement, but he has too much pride for showing that outwardly, so he clears his throat. "I...
excuse me?" Perhaps not so controlled after all... "Vash is a man, the last time I recalled."
quirks an eyebrow. "Vash? Never heard of him... Maybe you miss understood. I'm Anaïs, I represent the nation of Switzerland."
(miss understood... as if it's a person...)
now quite confused, but maintains his somewhat straight face. He shakes his head. "No... I have never seen you before. It is not very good
manners to lie to someone's face, Ms. A-..Anaïs." Honestly, this was just ridiculous.
starting to lose patience. "You're calling me a liar?"
just shakes his head. "Not that, per say... More so of a horrible storyteller, more like."
glares at him, crossing her arms. "Well what would you know about it, anyway? You're just some random creeper."
not impressed with the accusation. "I beg your pardon? You were the one who suddenly started parading around, claiming to be Vash. How
do you even know about nations, anyway?"
scoffs. " You were the one who came up to a stranger and called them a liar. And I know about nations because I am a nation. How do
narrows his eyes. "Well, a nation would know better than to parade about proclaiming they're a nation, don't you think?" He casts her an
odd look, studying her features, as though to try and understand. "And wouldn't you like to know?"
shrugs, still glaring. "Not particularly, it has obviously been a miracle I haven't had to meet you before. I'd rather cut my losses."
seemingly unfazed by all this, and he lacks the required energy to really get too riled up about this matter... so he concedes, because it's
just so much easier. "Fine. Prove you're a nation."
looks at him funny. "Prove it? How do you propose I do that?" It wasn't like she had some secret nation club card.
hadn't quite thought that far, thinking she'd back down and not take the challenge... she was already looking like Vash at this point. "How
stares at him for a moment, thinking he'd almost have to be a nation for a pompous guy like him to ask a woman that. "720, but I was around
before that. Why am I proving this to you anyway? Not like I believe you're a nation either."
too much pride to just let this go.
taken aback by the blunt answer, as he doesn't even pause to think about it. He might have let that go, if not for her next demanding
words, and he feels his former irritation flare a little. "I'm surprised. If you really are a nation, then you'd know who I was."
rolls her eyes. "Well you're almost as annoying as Austria, so I'd guess you're some micronation of hers."
now really lets out an indignant cry... both from that insult... and the fact that "her" and "Austria" were in the same sentence.
"I beg your pardon? Micronation?" More than a little irritated, he talks before his mind catches up. "I am Austria, you naive fool."
bristles. "Naive!? I think I would know the ungrateful nation who I carried on my back every time she got beat up by other nations!"
just going to go along and play this little "game". "Please! I wasn't beat up; I merely had no will to fight, and everyone else took
caught up in how much like modern Austria that sounds, "Does it matter? I was there and I kept her safe and she repaid me by trying to
subjugate me. So I showed I wasn't just a territory."
"No... I suppose it doesn't..." Stubborn as he may be, he was and is grateful for Vash's help, though he'd never actually admit that out
loud... He sighs, frowning and massaging the bridge of his nose. "Mein Gott... Are you really Switz?"
nods at him, still not happy looking, "That's what I've been saying."
stares a little warily before shaking his head. "It's not... possible. The Switz I know is male."
takes a more neutral expression. "Well the Austria I know is female. What about others, I also know a male Hungary and a female France..."
raises an eyebrow at that; somehow, this... isn't as strange any more... but at the same time, it still is. He shakes his head. "I know
a female Hungary and a male France..." He frowns. "How can this be...?"

she had an answer to that. "I don't know... Have you seen anyone else recently... To know if both versions exist or if we've replaced the
shakes his head. "I don't care for leaving my house more often than I need to..." He's still stuck on one thought. "If you're really that
old, then that means... you have existed as long as Vash has...? But you've never seen him?"
shakes her a head slightly. "Not that I know of."
frowns. "How... odd. If I may inquire, what is the name of my, er, counterpart? Is she like me, then?"
agrees. "She's a lot like what I know of you, but not exactly the same. But then, we don't speak much anymore. Her name's Katharina..."
(lol idek. -goes to bed, will be back tomorrow-)
that this is definitely Switz, if the relations are like that. "I... see." He quirks an eyebrow. "Then are you as trigger-happy as your
him a flat look. "I'm not trigger happy, I just don't hesitate to do what I have to in order to get the result I want."
just sort of waves that away. "By that, I mean, you still use violence to get your point across, then?"
keeps that look. "When I need to."
sighs and shakes his head. "Then you are Switz." He coughs. "Allow me to start over." He reaches out a hand. "I am Austria, and my name
stares at his hand for a moment before taking it and shaking it. "Roderich, got it. Nice to meet you..." She mostly said the last part
immediately retracts his hand, knowing the female is probably mutual. "So... I wonder, do you think we will see the other versions soon?"
realizes something. "I don't think I'd want to meet your France or Prussia..." Male versions of them would be even worse.
raises an eyebrow at that. "I would assume so... are they still both completely brash, rude and perverted?" He supposes that even if
they were a male or female, that part of their personality was far too dominant to disappear.
nods. "With few redeeming qualities."
only raises an eyebrow at that. "Redeeming? Such as...?" The only thing he could think of for both of them was
that Hungary, at least, never ran out of targets.
shrugs. "France pays her fees on time."
confused. "How do you mean, "fees"?"
looks at him. "Any time she's owed me money. Stop disecting my word choice..."
