I enjoy pushing characters as far as I think they can feasibly go without becoming entirely unplayable.
I think it's interesting to see how they cope with bad things happening to them
especially if they're not used to dealing with a lot of trauma.
Some of the development Jamie's gone through while I played him was planned out, and some of it wasn't planned at all
(or was the result of poor planning).
The latter I wasn't always happy with, but I worked it into his characterization and had him roll with it as best I could.
There was some fairly popular fic in my fandom that introduced horrific/apocalyptic elements into the safe, secure canon that Jamie's from
and I always thought that contrast was really interesting and that the situation presented interesting ways for the characters to develop
so I think a lot of my playing was influenced by that.
Deep in my black little heart, I'd love to pile on the trauma and push and push and push Jamie
until he breaks completely and has to figure out how to pull himself back together
but I'm really awful at planning things with people (and Jamie is not the sort who'd seek out or respond well to help)
so this will probably never happen.
That said, he's already kind of broken and just...never healed properly. So he functions, but not as well as he could or should.
and boy howdy nobody can tl;dr about shit nobody cares about like me
I am pretty much dying to get this schoolwork done so I can tag all the things partly so I can tag more Hiccup and Jamie
maybe if I get my arse on AIM one of these nights we can try to plan out some things for our guys to do
we should maybe do a private plot.
Maybe grab someone else to join in, but have it be a small group
