IMHO - don't. About 10 years ago I used to swear by lattice mult. It allowed my kids to multiply and get the right answer as long as they

knew their x tables. What I've come to realize, though, is that it allowed them to multiply without understanding multiplication, though.

It's just another "trick" algorithm that builds a shaky foundation that crumbles as they get into more advanced math. I still do expose

my students to it, but not until after they can explain to me partial-products, and how the "traditional" algorithm works. Then I may ask

them to explain to me why lattice works to see if they really understand. Again, just my opinion - take it for what it's worth.

Are you talking about dot product and cross product? Those aren't tricks, they are solid mathematical concepts.

Multiplying two Matrices together..........
