Novell is being sticky about the 90 day clause. Even though last year when we renewed I told them this would be the last year

and we would not be renewing in 2012.

Since I did this verbally and it was not written, then the notice does not count.

we are staying Novell. The Linux side and new features coming in GroupWise2012, ZENworks, etc are quite nice and less hassle as w/ Netware

Part of our reason for change was changing in guards for our network and server administrators. They were MS, not Novell.

Got Novell to extend for 6 months vs 1 full year. Better than nothing.

technofuturist: We don't have a non-appropriation clause. We just have a Termination for Cause clause, if there is a substantial breach.
