Whoa, you're really good! /impressed
The inking's really clean. I can never get mine quite that smooth. |D
...I wish my line art was smooth. But I just jump right from- crazy chicken scratch, into ink.
the art on Axel's information page is yours?
Yup, though it's all-digital. Haven't gotten around to getting myself a scanner. XD
[Smiles] At least you're comfortable with digital work. I've done everything by hand for so long that- anything else? Like pulling teeth.
I really liked it. Surprised you've not shown of your work.
Haha, I don't draw as much as I probably ought to anymore! (And I'm actually more comfortable with digital, myself - just a matter of
That's really a shame. Although, to be honest I don't either. At least not while my courses are in full swing. It's hard to get inspired.
True enough. I mostly just draw RP-related things, which I suppose is the good thing about gaming ~ keeps my hand in!
(and I hear you on the school thing -- being too busy kills creative motivation really badly for me.)
I often to the same, as roleplay can encourage the artistic process. But most often when I draw... It just sort of-
Takes on a life of it's own?
Example A
...whoa, that's intricate o.o
[Smirks] I'm just amazed your first comment wasn't- Why the hell are there two Axels? In armor?
It looks very tarot-card-design!
... Or stained glass window, maybe. KH does do that.
I truly enjoy Alphonse Mucha and Art Nouveau- so that has a hand in it. Flowing lines, symmetry. But yes, tarot cards and stained glass..
They can be very inspiring.
.....Actually, I named it 'stained glass window' when I posted it, in 2008. [Memory like a steel trap, I tell you.]
Hmm, yeah, I can definitely see the Art Nouveau influence! (and hee <3)
Almost calls for jewel-toned watercolor added in or something.
...also? damn,if it's four years old I'm even MORE impressed.
[Wants to paint it, now.] You... Really are a very good enabler.
... I wasn't even trying to enable, but hey, if it worked I'm not complaining :3
/browsing!
You're really good. I love the way you use color (and the white-on-colored paper effects on Last Seconds Spent!)
.... [Awkward 'back of the head scratch' into silence. Some of the stuff is just awful.]
Also, wow. Do you do your cosplay wigs yourself?
I just bought them off ebay and..made bangs if they needed it. [Embarrassed.]
They're very well styled! But I'll quit embarrassing you, promise. XD
Unless you mean Roxas'. And that was just- hairspray.
Roxas's and the Al and Ed ones! Much nicer looking than most of my cosplay wigs end up, for sure.
Hm. The only thing I can thing of that helped is that I made sure they were high quality and meant for use on the long term. That way...
There really wasn't a problem with tangling of the fibers.
I am very sorry that you struggled in this area, however.
Eh, storage is my big issue -- I have a terrible tendency to pick characters with flowing knee-length black hair, which:
(a) expensive, and (
tangling is terribly hard to avoid.
Knee-length does tend to be impossible to find outside, well.. party wigs.
So yes. The quality would definitely be lower if you're forced to stick to that selection due to length. [Guesses]
But anyway. Really very glad you like the art.
Thank you for sharing~ :3
