I like the BBC's DanceMat typing.

I have used All the Right Type. Good for 6th graders but might not be good for older kids (8th and 9th)

I find that in MS, once they have a decent handle on homerow and have a nice intro to the other keys, the best practice is chatting.

NOT typing out odd sentences to a timed program. They hate that. Have little chat races and chat quizzes for fun. Give them time to type,

but soon they'll realize they need to practice more on their own (and will want to) to keep up speed with their friends.
