particularly the stannis/melisandre scene. like. i just. i can't. I CAAAAAN'T.

I love how they've chosen to condense Theon's story, I think they kept the necessities.

specifically I am fascinated by the emphasis on "knowing who you are" about two seasons early

since Theon's entire arc is about how his identity of his upbringing clashes with the identity of his name

and obviously everyone from Robb to Osha to Yara to his father know exactly who they are and Theon's left trying to find himself.

I would have liked one last glimpse of the Captain's daughter, specifically that moment in the books where Asha/Yara dismisses her

as bland and Theon is like YES HOW ARE YOU SO PERFECT. because i feel it is the moment where he is accidentally most like his sister.

and it also makes his sudden desire to bed her more understandable. i am also kinda sad they cut Aeron since I feel like the drowned god is

going to be as important as Rhlorr and the Seven. but there's those caps of Theon getting blessed with seawater so they may have just moved

the scene.

I am pleased Podrick is present. kinda annoyed that they cut Shireen because it means there's no Patchface.

I like Cersei a lot more and am less rabidly obsessed with Tyrion than I was in the books. watching Varys manipulate everyone to his endgame

really much more fascinating when all the uncessary bits and red herrings are cut out.

someone suggested that Ros might be pregnant, and that would way explain the tears and baby-obsession to me, though obvs it also provided

a chance for the narrative to rub how evil Petyr is in our face. still hate Aiden Gillan's delivery as much as S1 I'm afraid.

I'm really interested to see what they do with Ros tbh.

also I love Samwell Tarly. and Gilly who is Cassie from Skins.
