It's pretty addicting once you get into it.
I post more here than I EVER did on Facebook. It just feels...comfortable.
I'll take your word for it, I only ever remember Facebook exists if I want to watch Kamen Rider.
Well, yeah, not having family members stalking you probably helps.
And FB doesn't let you do things like this.
Okay, I will concede that's awesome. :,)
I guess two emotes have the same keyword.
I'll have to change that,
Also I can see I might need to stock up on amusing .gifs now.
I think the Jack Sparrow one is the best, I see it used on tumblr all the time. :,)
Look how it was used in a meme I had. :')
My Stitch ones are my favorites though.
Oh, hey, does Plurk use hashtags at all?
Like, if I wanted people to know I was writing about Tales stuff, I'd put #tales instead of Tales since that makes it searchable.
That's how Twitter works.
Tumblr does the same thing.
Do you put a hash in or is it something else?
No, you put @ theperson'sname
Mine would be @ sediea without the space.
Ooh. That's how linking to a profile worked on
identi.ca and Twitter.
But you would be @ ReverendYurodivy since that's your link name.
I'm still discovering new things about this place. It has a lot of neat things.
Yeah, at least the layout is better than early
identi.ca too.
The first iteration of
identi.ca looked like someone's Geocities page.
Also you can start uploading custom emotes once you complete 90% or more of your profile. One feature I don't like.
It's gotten a lot nicer, but I haven't used it since I was liveblogging the Black and White release.
I don't think I'd ever heard of it.
It's a big deal in the open source software community since it's...open source. Obviously.
