blinks when he encounters the site, tiptoeing around him to make a cup of tea. He wonders if he should wake him...
leaning back precariously close to falling.
notices this, starling a little as he moves forward to catch the back of the chair, probably jostling Sadik a bit.
flails a bit, the book falling on the floor, before composing and re-balancing himself. His hand is clutching his left breast. "Holy
hell!! Kiku....you scared me!"
gasps at the violent awakening, stumbling back in surprise. "A-ah, sorry! I did not mean to...!"
sits himself upright and gets up turning around to face the Japanese man. He's still clutching at his heart but he seems more at ease and a
little amused. "No, don't worry about it....you probably did me a favor or something."
bites his lip a little, worried he was going to be scolded. He blinks though when Sadik immediately understands. "....i-it
looked like you were about to fall over, so I panicked...."
had remembered what kind of position he was in when he fell asleep and he's not the type to get angry right away especially not to
Kiku. "I guess I owe you a thanks."
exhales softly with a smile. "No thanks needed, but I would avoid not sleeping like that," he offers, turning back around to finish
can't make any guarantees but will try. "I'll keep that in mind. So how has your day been like?"
hums softly. "I met the new student in my class... can't quite remember his name though. Other than that, nothing new. How about yourself?"
nods, he had a hard time remembering names too. "Well as you've noticed, I'm very tired. I didn't sleep well last night."
smiles. "Would you like me to make you a cup of tea as well?" he offers.
loved Kiku for this reason above all. "If you don't mind, I'd love one."
nods, turning back around to make two cups of tea now. "How come you didn't sleep well?"
bites his bottom lip and shrugs. "I'm not one hundred percent sure. I just kept waking up every half hour until my alarm went off."
hums softly. "Those nights are the worst. Perhaps try a glass of milk before bed, I hear dairy helps you sleep."
had not heard that but would try it especially if that meant he'd get a good nights sleep. "I'll keep that in mind too."
couldn't quote him the source, but he's pretty sure that's why the tale says hot milk. He comes over with two mugs of tea, handing
one to him. "I hope it's to your liking."
pulls the sugar that was sitting in the middle of the table and pours a considerable amount in. "Thanks Kiku. Why don't you take a seat and
relax for a little while."
smiles at the invitation, taking a seat near enough to continue conversation. "Well thank you, Sadik. I think I might."
smiles. "Good. Sometimes I feel bad for you because you never seem to take a break."
blinks at this and shrugs. "Sometimes a break is not necessary, if there's a lot to do."
doesn't agree with that but will not argue. "If you say so."
nods, sipping his tea. He got a lot more done when he didn't take breaks... even if it meant he passed out at his desk sometimes.

you should always take the time for yourself. Breaks were important. He remembered a time it wasn't important in his country.
a bit of a workaholic, he'd probably have to be forced to. "How is your week going?"
tilts his head from side to side. "It's not the worse I ever had." He sips at his tea, it was still hot but needed.
smiles a little. "I suppose that's a reassuring thought."
chuckles. "I like to stay positive."
hums softly. "I suppose it's better than being negative all of the time."
nods. "Yes, considerably better."
chuckles softly, quietening again as he sipped his tea.
can't say he's always been positive though. He's had his up and downs which is way he found himself here rather than back home.
could understand that. Sometimes, home is not the best place to be.
Sadik
wonders 12 years ago
if that was why Kiku was here too. Problems at home?
escaped mainly to avoid parental expectations through school and just stayed.
had heard of many who had done that.
would think it fairly common, honestly.
didn't think it was that common but maybe for the Japanese it could be.
shrugs, he can' really speak for other people, of course.
