saw the Venus transit! it was a bit of an ordeal
basically me and Bryce drove to the industrial part of Tucson and hit up every welding shop asking for a glass that would let us look
at the sun
YOU NEED A #14 which apparently is so dark that you can't use it for actual welding
it is too dark you can't see anything
BUT WE FINALLY FOUND ONE and saw it and it was cool
some random old guy was walking by and we were like DO YOU WANT US TO SHOW YOU
and we did

my parents and sister back home apparently went to the observatory and saw it super well
