from what I gathered, the story is this: a huge investigation on spammers/virus infections found a big operation and shut it down

but the number of people infected by the time the operation was stopped was so huge, instead of just closing down everyone infected

the government set up contained servers to keep those people running. Those servers are going to be shut down now

the infected computers had about a year to get cleaned up. Those infected should have been notified.

So if you did not hear anything, you should not be one of the infected computers that will lose connection
