About our thread. I want Edgeworth to state a few things that only HE would know. Like ever.
Yeees?
...I AM TRYING MY BEST TO KEEP IT ALL IN THE CLEAN CONVERSATION SO
...Maybe a scar somewhere.
...I am sure even though he's talking to himself,
he wouldn't utter something like, "17.3 centimetres >(" aloud in a room full of people pffffffffft
I don't see him having any physical scars.
There is getting into detail about his Steel Samurai collection...
I know I just got here but BRB!
On the same subject, mentioning his online persona for when he gets in forum debates about it. (I headcanon it as Germanium Daimyo.)
"What's the last case you remember?" is a question I tend to have Edgeworth ask canonmates in situations where he has a clue about jamjars.
Once it's established that an Edgeworth is at least post-3-5... "Miss Iris had two. Larry had five twice in succession."
(If I'm remembering the numbers right here.)
Since while Phoenix would know Edgeworth had the magatama, I don't gather that he was comfortable enough with it to discuss the experience
checks. "Ah, Larry had three, then five."
Possibly a detail related to his crisis of faith/the year he went "missing"...
You know how Phoenix wonders at one point why Edgeworth would have the kind of knife you see in case 1-5?
Given that 1-5 was something inserted later on... I suspect that knife was a purchase inspired by the unease 1-4 inspired.
Those three points (counting all the fandom stuff as one point) are what come to mind, anyway.
...The time I left up to now...if the amount of time it takes for me to get to class ._.
I was actually thinking about the Steel Samurai Persona thing when I was driving home, too XD;
...I fondly remember "Germanium Daimyo" Aha
...Paraworth's is the "Silver Shogun" XD;;
Ahh.
...with reference to his 'Silver' (or, what other refer to his hair colour as) hair
went for a reference to an aspect of his upbringing, herself.
Anyway, what about the other two points?
figures her headcanon on Pess is a little too offbeat to be of use here, so...
Back on the subect of the scars (though I don't intend to use that),
...I was thinking, it wouldn't actually be farfetched to assume that he has at least one or two, given his rather dangerous line of work...
...his notoriety and enemies...
...he's had a gun pointed at him and was knocked unconscious, too XD;
Heheh, true enough.
...At least he doesn't have Phoenix's luck XDDD;
Concerning Pess, the default assumption seems to be intentionally bought purebreed, not stray who comforted him in his darkest hour.
And the latter's what I run with, personally.
...I like the stray idea. Goodness knows Paraworth is up to here with those in Paradisa :/
...He does have a purebred...something, in Paradisa, though...though I didn't imagine him to have painstakingly picked out the dog
...or planned it beforehand...
...So, as for him, 'comforted in the darkest hour,' but not quite a stray, aha.
In my headcanon, he was in the throes of despair during that near-year away from the Prosecutor's Office.
And suddenly, dog cuddles.
I'd like to think that he probably saw someone with the puppy and didn't care for the treatment of the animal and offered to take it off
their hands or something...
Which helped. Enough that he saw fit to have the dog examined by a vet and look for her nonexistent owner...
Once she had a clean bill of health but no one to return her to... well.
Seems like we both took the same core thought in different directions, at any rate.
And you make a good point about it being fairly probable that he picked up some kind of physical scar in the course of his career...
...though I can see why you'd think otherwise
Heh.
There is the hiding-behind-Gumshoe-not-that-he'd-admit-it factor there.
Oh. Another thing that no one knows that pops to mind is my darkest headcanon about him...
You know how he says that making little girls cry should warrant the death penalty?
Even if that's hyperbole, take the general sentiment behind it and mix it with how much he hates crime...
Stop me here if you don't want me to skew dark.
OK then... Murder's not the only high crime around...
...and I figure that deep down, Edgeworth thinks execution is too good for those guilty of the other one.
Privately, he'd rather see them tortured...
That's another case of "absolutely no one else knows this".
....
You, my friend...
...We probably share part of a brain. :|
Anyway, have enough to work with for a tag?
.../tags right before seeing this
Heh.
...it appears that their icons face one another. :|
So who would you like to go first?
there like...a coin-flipping website on the net? XD;;
if any of those three points was the one your Edgeworth was alluding to.
third one was the closest ^^
I just thought, back on the scar thing as well ...
....If you're ever friends with Larry, you're probably bound to have scarring (other than mental, I mean XD)
...and if you are friends with Phoenix and his sort of luck rubs off on you....
...then that's probably another XD
Yeah, that childhood combination does seem likely to have led to something.
Also, a subtle point about my last tag: I figure him reacting that congenially to having a flaw in his proposal pointed out...
...speaks to just how earnest he is about the entire thing.
Though that could also be an intelligently crafted facade, so it's always best to have that proof XD;
Heh, indeed!
Edgeworth has just been requested by his inebriated acquaintance to play the flute. With said friend's request for an "uplifting" song,
I couldn't find such a song in my playlist, so I had to resort to making one ._.
I do wonder if I'll ever be hit with inspiration to actually compose Aria of Roses and Steel...
....aha I could probably put it to music if you were to ._.
normally makes MIDIs anyway when she makes music.
Though I make less of it than I used to.
...and now I realize it sounds like classical...............pirate music. ;_;
I am just trying to picture this whole scenario in my head. XD
A spitting image of himself walks in
...They are shocked at how much THEY LOOK SO ALIKE
...I'm sure people are staring...
and then they go leave together. :\
(Though it's more "one fellow is bodily shoved in"...
)
and the other one is probably...kicked in. :/
No problem.
Heh... you know, you've played Paraworth of of TVKworth, and now you're playing him off my Canonworth...
Makes me wonder when TDworth will get a turn.
...Oddly, I don't seem to be getting notifs. In case it's the same for you, tag.
...I have been having the same problem... but since recent, it seems to have been working...
...Which one is TD, btw? ^_^;;
The Eberron/D&D one, if the name doesn't ring a bell. The epic PSL.
So, Paraworth is going to flip? To ask a question first, I am assuming...?
He can, but the point was more giving him a chance to examine the coin first, as previously proposed.
Oh! Ha. Gosh, I suppose he still wasn't too concerned about the coin...lolol
H-How in the Hell did I make that ...cross...symbol...
I wore an Edgeworth cravat to class today :/
Oh?
...I was testing it out :\
Since I also happened to be dressed up. In red. :/
Heheh!
a long-sleeved shirt with a complex pattern of burgundies, pinks, magentas, and maroons which she wears with dark grey pants...
If I decided to try a cravat, obviously it would be with that outfit.
I am apparently to be cosplaying Edgeworth this weekend. Whoopee. :|
raises an eyebrow. "Someone talk you into it?"
(as if there was any other answer, ahaha)
notices that she seems to ship it...
"Seems to"...pfft. Understatement.
I can at least see where P/E shipping
coming from, but I don't see it as romantic by human standards.
...By "human" standards? As opposed to...? XDDDDD
Suffice it to say that one of the Homestuck troll quadrants includes the closest thing I've seen to how I see the two of them.
........... The Professor Layton puzzle theme is playing in my head right now.......
....Probably I should go get a decoder...
A true gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved.
Thank you, i was starting to fall asleep until your reaction made me laugh that much!
...Oh. Falling asleep was that? XDDDD
...Was that the artistic depiction of a keyboard face-smash?
Nope. <> is the symbol for the troll relationship type I see as a loose match.
...Troll relationship...loose match...
Basically, a rather deep (though still platonic by human standards) friendship involving each side making up for the other's weaknesses.
Traditionally a dangerous one and a soft one.
Seems closer to that than to love to me.
They just love to purposefully put little "fun moments" in there for the fanservice of it XD
And I kind of fill Edgeworth's two concupiscent quadrants with concepts
...At this point, I am 110% they do it on purpose. Repeatedly. XD
Oh, I think that was pretty much proven with the hug of fear in She-Hulk's ending.
...Oh, I even see that as a small, insignificant bit. :/
I mean proven as them egging it on for fun.
...Gosh. The picture of Edgeworth cooking chocoalte to help in making a chocolate statue of Phoenix...having in his possession a shirtless
picture of Phoenix. What.
...they really, really do. :/
Anyway! Any preferences as to who asks what? ...Or for that matter, should they both ask the same thing first?
(And if you're doing that, note that the "pity" thing is euphemism more often than not.)
...Same this first would be rather cool XD;;
sdfjkhsfkh sorry if I am rather slow at the moment!
.../been packing for tomorrow's journey
And no rush! Just started making hot chocolate, actually.
Which I do from scratch in a 20-minute process.
Ahhh.
I've been attempting to feed the pets before I go.
...and all that...stuff. :/
...Edgeworth ...Sr. wrote the question on the paper and refolded it...
he going to state the question aloud and write the answer on the other part of the paper, while Edgey...Jr. here does the same?
I hadn't been thinking statements aloud with this method, but.
Basically just write questions, exchange, write answers, exchange was the original intent.
That they turned out to write the same question may complicate that.
(I'm thinking the knife-in-the-trunk question, personally.)
I figure the mutual reactions to that would disrupt the process.
Okay! We'll go with that! The exchange deal... Okay, so what exactly would you have him write down, question-wise?
"What was the origin of the knife in my trunk which Lana Skye used in the attempt to frame me for Detective Goodman's murder?"
...is what pops straight to mind. Might be possible to phrase better...
Perhaps more like "For what reason was there a knife in the trunk of my car for Lana Skye to use in the attempt [...]?"
Not even I remember XDD Aha ;_;
..perhaps because it's 5 in the morning and brain is splodey...
points back to the discussion at the start of the plurk.
..At first, I thought the question "origin of the knife in my trunk" was a reference to where he purchased the knife XDD
Yeah, hence why I figured I needed to rephrase it...
I am not sure if I was supposed to mention that I tagged! XD;
I am going to bed soon, since I have to wake up relatively early...run an errand before i go
Heh, I saw that you had! Just that I kind of figure that the way you left off, I'm posing the reaction first.
...that and my Edgeworth brain is dozing off before me XD
By the way, you mentioned making chocolate from scratch
...hot...chocolate, anyway...not saying you're some Divine Being who sneezes cacao beans or something :|
It involves powdered unsweetened baking cocoa, sugar, a bit of water to wet down it and any other dry ingredients before heating...
...and once it's melted into a syrup, milk and higher heat.
The water can be partly or fully replaced with other, flavored liquids.
Oh! I was wondering if you made it with ground cacao
...we make it with grounded beans, boil it, add cinnamon, sugar, nutmeg, salt...and possibly condensed milk..
Ahh, that does sound awesome!
And cinnamon and nutmeg are among the optional dry ingredients I use in order to keep things interesting.
It's slightly oily, too. (You can see tiny oil bubbles floating)
I drink it sparingly, seeing as though I only get it from Jamaica (or the DR, but I am sure I wont be visiting there again for a very long
There's also mint (never use alongside cinnamon), orange flavoring, ginger, almond favoring, hazelnut flavoring, vanilla...
As well as varying the sugar/cocoa ratio and increasing or decreasing the non-milk ingredients by 25% for strength variation.
Suffice it to say that I never, ever want to get bored of hot chocolate.
Oh, and I also sometimes replace half the white sugar with brown sugar or honey, though the latter calls for other tweaks.
Anyway, to reiterate on the answer to the knife question...
I figure that knife was there on account of the events of the original first game, and especially 1-4, leaving him in a bad place.
"Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death" originally came after 1-4, after all -- 1-5 was added in later.
...Ah! So wait...you figure that ...that was the purpose of it...?
So it's not a stretch to think he was teetering even then. Especially since we kind of see signs of him being in mid-crisis in 1-5.
Yeah. Though I also think he never made an attempt. It was on the table, but he ultimately came up with better answers.
Okay! So, like a couple other Edgeworth players, you also believe that he actually intended to "choose death," though he made no attempt to
I see it as a little more complicated than that.
My Edgeworth one put it as, "The man I was had to die, whether figuratively or literally."
(I ask because at one point, Phoenix-mun and I had a little argument about it.)
OK then, composing tag...
No rush! I need to get to sleeping anyway...so it'll be done soon enough...
When I am on the bus tomorrow I should have Wifi, too...
Cool then.
providing that they are back to using the original buses...
I am going to try my best to sleep so that I don't die tomorrow
and can better brain Edgeworth.. XD;
That being said, good morning, Edgey Sr.!
Night, then!
I should totally add "Jr." to my Plurk name :\
may swap to "Atheist Cleric" once TD gets a little farther, provided it fits the space.
<--- Atheist Prosecutor? lolol
Heh, well, TDworth does still consider himself a prosecutor too...
...even if he'd probably have to decide where to live before actually beginning to prosecute.
The place where he landed in the setting is a country where the job doesn't even exist.
Though much like in AAI, I anticipate him spending more time playing detective (or "inquisitive" in Eberron-speak) for a while.
At least once he's
almost equipped to try.
BTW, I presume notifs are working right again, since the ten I didn't get showed up in my inbox overnight (though out of order).
