The management company knows and supports us not paying any more rent.... um, yea.
It's being sold on the courthouse steps in November.
holy crap! the one you are living in right now????
At a minimum, we have 60 days from now, but who knows. This is crazy!
The actual owner died, his wife lives in Thailand and apparently has been trying to get it in her name, but obviously that hasn't happened
And she hasn't been paying the mortgage.
oh damn. that is just wrong on so many levels. i am sorry.
It actually seems ok. We will possibly have a short notice to move, but could possibly live here rent free for awhile as well.
Hubby wanted to get closer to his office anyway...
you stay in Katy or move closer in?
We will move a bit in, but still Katy. His office is at Dairy Ashford and it takes 45 minutes for him to get home!
Right. My ILs live at Dairy Ashford and Memorial. I can imagine it takes a while. Closer to Mason?
IDK yet. We need to check neighborhoods. Something like that though. We may have quite a while here still. This is just nutso!!
Ugh. That stinks. I have heard this happening more and more. On one hand - you've got some notice now. I've heard some that have
had no notice and never suspected the possibility of a foreclosure.
there is a lot of info online about what to do as a renter. there's also a law that Obama signed requiring whoever buys our house to honor
the lease unless they will be moving in personally and then we get 90 days.
but the mgmt co had been blind ccing us on her emails with the owner. the owner wants to fix it but i don't know if it's too late.
