Kristen's are in the oven right now. But i am doing the larger ones. Just a handprint and then cut around it in a circle-ish shape.
The dough had to be altered big time, because what it said it was did not congeal. It ended up being 2 C flour, 1 C salt & way more water than it said. It said PlayDoh consistency worked best. I have done 6
Of the 6, I have to redo 1 for sure, maybe 2. And, baking was 250 for 2 hours. That seemed to work well.
Ok, that was the recipe I found, 2C flour, 1C salt, 1C water. I have it around 200 for 1 1/2 hours.... We will see.... It was much more difficult to get them transferred from wax paper/ counter than I thought
Yes! It was awful doing the transfer. I ended up doing better with a heavily floured one
And only like 50 to go.....
Did you see the Texans page with Andre Johnson? He's awesome.
50? I pray that's an exaggeration!! Yikes!! K did like it. I let her play with the leftover dough and that entertained her for a long time
The long, long receipt of toys? I wasn't sure which player it was, but thought it was wonderful!
Yup. It was Andre. 19571 at tru. And I wish it was an exaggerated figure, but I'm making 1 for each 2nd grader.
Oy. I made about 6 for each kid so far. Not including painting. Just the salt dough portion to ensure I had 3 good ones at the end of the day. You, my dear, are ambitious. Or crazy.
But, I'm not doing the painting. That's for the kids at the Christmas party. I'm just doing the hands & baking them. like that isn't a lot of work in and of itself
