Nope, it's horrible. Something needs to be done to those jackasses. So many people could have seriously hurt themselves because of them.

I didn't phrase that well. I meant, were all of the pictures fake or did 4chan started out with fake pics/accounts and some people actually did it for real?

The pics and accts were fake. I sure the hell hope no one followed and did it too! I suppose there is no way to know if anyone did.
