wanders the forest, healing a few players as she goes but mostly focusing on leveling. She finishes killing a monster and starts to collect the loot.
(( Hope you don't mind me : 3 ))
nearly ran into her as she came out of the thicket. Immediately she pulled out her bow, her hawk whistle at the corner of her mouth. You couldn't take chance. "Class?" She already knew race from her scanner_
which she should have been paying better attention too. "Depending on your answer I may or may not shoot."
...holds her hands up. "I'm a white mage and a healer." She figured this other woman was in some kind of trouble to be running around the forest like that...
lowers her weapon and spits out the whistle shortly after. She reaches into a pocket and pulls out a couple coins. "Here, to heal me. Spasibo, please be quick because.." She checks her radar, which to the other
_looks like she's randomly touching the air, and swears again. "Boss is still chasing me. How is gear, good level?"
..........takes the coins and casts a spell that fully restores the others HP and mana. It takes up a fair amount of her own mana but she had a feeling the other would need it more... "Yes, my gear is all full-
blows the whistle again and waits to hear the call of her bird before she checks the map again. "You fight well? I would feel very bad if you died because of me. You might have chance to run if you took fey_
step. I am Kse by the way, takk for healing. Mage is ranged, da? I think I should get in that tree right there.."
sees the boss info pop up on her screen. "Too late to run now I guess. I'm mostly ranged" She hops up into the tallest tree she can find. "I'm Gjertrud. If we stick to the trees we might be able to surprise it"
hauls herself up another tree and crouches on one of the thick branches. "It's health is about half way, do not get hit by club, it only took one hit to get my health that low. Demon race, beserker class."
pulls up her spell menu. "Demon, huh... did you get a chance to try a healing spell on it? Some take damage when you cast healing spells..."
laughs. "Did not take healing, took beast mastery instead. You could give it try, it might work out better." She hears the demon getting closer and gets her arrow ready. "This will be fun!"
nods and prepares a minor healing spell. She didn't want to heal him to much if this didn't work as planned...
waits for the demon to run into the clearing and go past her before swinging upside down and shooting him in the back of the head. Barely a dent in it's hp bar. "Try spell, my attack barely works!"
casts the spell at the demon and it roars in pain. It dented his hp bar a little but it was doing damage over time.
cheers happily, taking another shot at it. "I never knew healing was that useful. Good hit Gjertrud! Just keep out of way of club, you are no use to anyone dead."
nods and hops into the next tree over when the demon knocks down her tree. She casts a higher powered spell this time, taking a bigger chunk of health.
blows her whistle and her hawk flies down, distracting the demon's attention away from Gjertrud. "Excellent Catherine, aim for the eyes!" She fires again swearing as it barely dents the hp bar. "I hate demons!"
casts another spell, nearly killing the demon. She was actually surprised at how well this was going. She'd never fought a boss before or really fought many monsters for that matter...
barely has time to jump out of her tree as the demon starts going into beserk mode. "It is almost done, but this is hardest part!" She has to keep moving as the demon starts to destroy everything near it.
frowns and starts to dart through the trees, avoiding the destruction. She casts a spell in the demon's direction, it's HP starting to drain quicker.
calls her bird back as the demon gets more frantic. She jumps down from the trees and tries to shoot it again "We need one more big one Gjertrud, got any good spells left?"
nods but hesitates. "Is there anyway we can just knock it out...?" She didn't want to kill another player if it was true that the bosses were once players like themselves...
barely able to dodge the club as it came smashing down, sending her flying across the clearing. "Why do you hesitate?!" She rolls across the ground to dodge another attack.
frowns and casts the spell. The demon stumbles before crashing down next to her, dead. A loot screen pops up in front of her and she transfers it all to Kse. She takes one last look at the demon before the-
body dissolves into thin air.
gets up and goes through the loot, it was pretty decent. She could make good money selling it. "Why did you hesitate Gjertrud? You could have killed us both."
frowns and starts to walk away. She didn't want to talk about it with someone she had just met...
checks her scanner before going after her. Someone had to make sure the area was clear. "You understand that if one dies here you die in real life, da? You got that message?" It wasn't that she was angry at her
but more worried that Gjertrud might get herself killed if she did that again.
stops but doesn't turn to face her. "I know that. The bosses are players who've been glitched or picked be the game to be turned into bosses." She clenches her fists. "I just killed one of us..."
had heard about that happening and sighs. "What are the chances they will be returned to normal after this game ends? And honestly, I am here to survive. If you do not, then go to town with everyone else."
growls under her breath before turning to face her. "My sister was turned into one of those monsters and she's dead now."
slightly bad for the girl, she really does. "You know how many players that boss killed? A group of six was attacking it. Everyone of them are dead. I would rather take one life to spare others. I am sorry that
your sister is dead, but how many lives did she take before she was released from that hell she was living?"
rolls her eyes before starting to walk away. "I killed it, didn't I? Do not think I am totally without sense."
follows her. "But can you do it again is question. If not, you have no place out here."
"I have no trouble killing the other monsters and I doubt I will face a boss again."
keeps following. "And what if a boss comes right now, what would you do Gjertrud? Not a demon either, something magic resistant?"
sighs. "I would die. I am not nearly a high enough level to stand a chance against a boss."
frowns. Well, it was people like Gjertrud that put gold in her pocket so to speak. "You are going wrong way to get out of forest. Follow me."
..."I'm not going out of the forest."
puts her hands on her hips; what a stubborn girl. "And get yourself killed? Do you really want to be with sister that bad?"
rolls her eyes. "I'm a healer. I go around healing people when they get in trouble in places like this. Kind of like how I helped you...."
sighs loudly. "If you do not have constitution to kill then this is no place for you. There is group of player killers that comes through here quite frequently. Little thing like you.. you are just their prey."
frowns. "I have done fine so far. As I just showed, I will kill even if I don't want to. Now please, leave me be."
kind of torn. "What are you going to do, wander around here?"
nods. "And look for people who need healing. It's what I always do."
face palms. "Do you know how silly that is? You are better off in town, where little thing like you is safe. I should just drag you there."
rolls her eyes and just starts to walk faster away. "I'm a level 140, I am perfectly able to be on my own."
checks her scanner and laughs. "You're heading streat into a beast mob, quite a few so they are probably low level. If you had west you will run into four players, all human. They are in box formation, so they_
are most likely player killers, they trap you in box. Go east, it is clear shot from what I can see, unless there is holy spawn up there."
stops when she hears that. She nods in thanks and starts to head east. "Thanks."
going to head towards the player killers, not in her woods they don't. "Next time I see you in here I am dragging your little behind to town whether you like it or not!"
rolls her eyes and keeps walking. "Sure, sure..."
double checks her scanner, just to be sure. "I mean it!" She yells back before heading the opposite direction
