when I worked as TA for an instructor, he had me update his 'required textbook' info each semester and he never even looked at them, just asked me to find out if the current edition was the latest, and if not

to get the latest. He never even read them. Never even changed his own syllabus (which I was in charge of updating too) lol

I always get the required edition but I truly cannot find it. Tried emailing the prof thru the school system and it bounced back.

Depends because some add chapters, but more often than not, they are just the same with chapters moved around a bit. Your teacher should be able to tell you if the edition you have is usable in that class.

People are always doing that at my school and the teachers never seem to mind.
