I never had tiiiime and I always was sort of putting it off as a really long project but now now I am sucked in D: (HI)

it's sooooo good. prepare to be entirely unable to put the books down until you finish all three books.

(then be prepared to vaguely consider if you want to tackle the silmarillion.)

I re-read the Hobbit and it made me much more invested in actually wanting to tackle series. I'm about 100 pages into Fellowship atm. I plan to have it finished by Monday

hahaha I don't know if I'll get to the Silmarillion. I've been warned about it

i haven't read those books in many years. reread the hobbit more recently though. tolkien has a fairly unique style of writing that i sometimes find difficult to get accustomed to.

YEAH.... yeah.... even when i was a die hard book fan i never got far in that thing.

When I was reading the prologue to Fellowship... it was like reading the beginning of the Bibble

Bible* AND THEN SO AND SO BEGET SO AND SO IN THE SO AND SO WHICH THEN BECAME THE SO AND SO WHICH WAS EVENTUALLY INHABITED BY THE STOORS WHICH BECAME THE SHIRE WHICH EVERYONE EVENTUALLY FORGOT

For 20 pages. And then I was like OMFG WHY IS THE RELEVANT AND WHY AM I STILL READING THIS????

and then Biblo went psycho and I was happy again :3

HAHAHAHAHA I KNOW RIGHT. i find the books boring sometimes because he loves to get bogged down in minutia. but when he really gets going it's just great.

He does really paint a setting though. It's very easy to get lost the world, which I get now

And Sam clearly has unhobbitly thoughts about Frodo. Man I am like a million years late to this game

i think tolkien was actually supposed to have said that sam was the real hero.

Frodo is pretty whiny in the beginning, but the ring is also kind of like Hey bb, you know you want me >3
