The good thing about AUs is that you keep going! I mean, my massive Raiden retcon ficverse is in direct conflict with Rising, and I'm keeping at it.

Yeah I didn't let that make me hesitate XD though I do kind of want to catch up with Raiden (can't afford Rising at the moment ;_; )

Rising isn't really official MGS universe canon anyway, isn't it? Keep going with beautiful AUs.

I know, but it's going to influence the headcanon of a lot of people, canon or not.

the good news is that this AU splits off from canon during MGS2, so 4 and Rising are both aborted
