I think it depends on the pattern. If it's sized for multiple sizes and has a lot of details, like cable or other patterning charts, then I think it is probably worth that.

This one was pretty basic, one small chart (from what I could tell) and one size... and not by a designer I'd heard of. And only 4 projects in a three-year-old pattern
