We were noticing that the rats didn't seem to have any interest in peanuts in the shell and were tossing them out of their food dish as though they aren't food.

And then we realized. omg maybe they've never had peanuts before and don't know how they work.

So I took some of the peanuts that were lying around and cracked the shell so that the rats could maybe figure it out.

And they were like 'omg!!!' and ran and hid them in their little house as soon as I put them back. |D
