Granted there are days in between where I get 6-8, but they are interspersed with times I can't get back to sleep for 24+ hours and I am like "body, what's up bro."
I'll fall asleep during guided meditation if I'm truly exhausted but usually it's a good exercise to put me in a state of calm before attempting actual sleep
The mellow jazz channel on skyfm is great. There's also jazzradio.com, so whatever floats. Also I have found that socks to bed help in staying asleep, though it's been getting warmer so feel it out.
Ahhh I'm the exact opposite when it comes to socks, I like to be able to stretch my toes! What I usually do there is curl the entire blanket under my legs, like I'm some kinda burrito.
