I was supposed to be removing bees from the wall of a shed this morning, but it's in the 30's. Trying to decide if I should wait until warmer weather?

if by the 30's you mean F, I would do it today, they will be dopey from the cold.

Not sure but if you move them when it's cold, is that a good thing because they'll be less active?

The cold will keep them sluggish, but more of a chance of chilling the eggs and larva. So might be easier on me but harder on the bees. On the other hand, it will be cool enough to keep them shut in the new

hive for a couple of days which helps re-orient them to their new place.

Right, I mean, if you were gonna kill the hive, that's one thing but maybe it's good if they all move and wake up in the new location with that new bearing?

Ultimately I decided to hold off. Just too cold and rainy to make it a good move. Will have to look at next weekend.
