i mean im okay if ppl interpret him as female that's a-ok man i'm cool with anything i just wish people would be cool with other people's headcanons i guess?? sighs
It's more the fact of alot of people don't realize it is their headcanon, and insist that it is intended / canon by Naoto's creators/writers.
And they try to push their own belief on others.
It's like how I ship my babes hard as hell, but I know it's all my own lil thing, totally not canon. I'd point out possibilities, but I won't be like "NO IT IS THE TRUTH" or "IT IS HOMOPHOBIC NOT TO BELIEVE"
Yeah, I'm totally fine with people interpreting Naoto however, it's when I'm suddenly OMG TRANSPHOBIC for not agreeing that I have problems
yeah man i think as long as you aren't a total poop about how other people interpret characters and respect how they view them it's a-ok like i have a lot of friends that have the exact opposite -
headcanon than me and that's ok man
I'm starved for trans* characters too, but yeah, that's where fanon comes in.
Plus. Tumblr. Is full of people who just want to argue and make themselves feel big and righteous. Don't let that bother you.
yeah i really dont like tumblr i'm there for friends but...that is it WWWWW i can just shake my head and my hair becomes fixed like magic
There's a lot of people that I share headcanons with that I actually wish would shut up.....
like they have your headcanon and they're really obnoxious and rude about it
I think on either side I just take issue with this idea that if you don't "respect" an interpretation of a freaking imaginary character
that you're just a huge asshole in real life who doesn't understand how to treat actual people correctly.
i actually know and see a lot of people who interpret naoto as trans* totally be a jerk to other people about it and im like really???
it's a fictional character
I admit I get alil pissy about things like insisting Adachi is a rapist or sociopath canonically only because I'm like asafkjasfkj argh.
But I also ignore it, and don't go up in peoples' faces.
