Tanarian: I noticed that, too. It both harks back to the afrofuturism movement (Afrika Bambaataa, Sun Ra, etc) and stands as a refutation to the neckbeards who think cute girls are fake geeks.

I got exposed to some amazing things in jazz class. There's a suite of black musicians who specialized in presenting science fiction themes int their works.
