Don't get me wrong, some of them really know their stuff.
But when I walk up to one and ask for a graphics tablet like Wacom and he shuttles me over to a windows tablet pc, I question your knowledge of products.
"It has better graphics quality!" Sir, I'm not looking for graphics, I'm looking for a thing to draw on.
Then he tried to convince me I could do amazing drawings on a touch screen using the bundled image software.
"What's the pressure sensitivity?" "Uh... It doesn't need any." Um.
I asked if he knew where I could get a wacom tablet, and he said he didn't know such a thing existed, and that it sounds low-tech since it doesn't have a touch screen. Um.
Then as I'm browsing, I overhear another employee trying to pitch a prepaid aircard and saying it's comparable in speed to a cable internet connection.
Uh... At which speed? Because as far as I know, even 4G isn't as fast as, say, ~12-18Mbps.
But no way could it be considered as fast as a cable connection.
THEN he tried to convince the guy that he'd have to pay at least $100 down for comcast or uverse regardless, which I know is an outright lie for both unless your credit is absolute shite.
Even my credit is shite and all I had to do was sign up for autopay on one of them
And then he started spouting numbers in the triple digits for equipment and I almost started laughing.
A MODEM DOES NOT COST $300.
It's just... My god, do you guys just pull shit out of your ass or are you just desperate to make a sale that you just start lying to customers?
THEN there was the guy in the mobile department trying to convince me that he could sign me up with unlimited data w/ Verizon
THEY DON'T OFFER THAT. AT ALL.
Maybe for a basic phone?? But not a smartphone.
And no sir I don't think the pantech burst is a quality device why because I've returned no less than twelve since we started selling them.
This sounds so painful and embarrassing oh my god.
