At least the antibiotics are helping and now I am certain why I was so sick for over a week or so.

Now I feel like I can walk without dying and eat without losing my lunch, so this is win-win in my eyes.

Have you had a random skin test, Dani?
The Aeon

No I haven't.
The Aeon

Don't even know what that is >.o

MRSA can have carrier status. It can live on your skin like normal staph does, and if you touch others , or they touch things you've touched

It can be spread from person to person that way.

MRSA is a sneaky fuck - it's a special version of Staph aureus, which is found in some 20%??? I forget. of people.

just carriers

but it's really resilient

I'm so sorry you have it .-.
MOVED

And carriers don't constantly show symptoms. Even if you weren't near her during your infection, that doesn't mean anything
MOVED
Until it finds a cut, or pimple, or pinprick, and creates a skin infection, you won't know it's there.
MOVED
And even if you take a full course of antibiotics for your cheek, it won't kill off anything colonizing your (outer) skin.
MOVED

And it will be on towels, phones, cars, most personal belongings, etc
MOVED

It's really shitty luck, but it's nearly impossible to completely eradicate
MOVED

Just be super careful with any and all open wounds. No matter how small.
MOVED

I'm exposed to all sorts of stuff, so my advice is skip neosporin and go straight to liberally applied iodine, and colloidal silver gels
MOVED

With every little bump or bite, or cut, just wash, disinfect, and cover
MOVED
And pick up this soap called "hibiclens ". Main ingredient is chlorhexadine gluconate, it's watery and bright red.
MOVED
You find it in the first aid aisles as a wound wash.
MOVED
I've been told that washing your entire body with that can get rid of, or at least control it.
MOVED
But it needs to be done every day for a while, at least a month I think?
MOVED

Along with aggressive washing/ drying of bedding, towels, all that fun stuff.

Aghhh okay I will look into that =(
MOVED

It can be managed, it's just a pain. If you're prepared, and know to get to the doctor ASAP at any sign of infection, that's good.
MOVED
It's also entirely possible neither of you carry it, and that this will be the last you see of it, but pulling out the big guns is probably
MOVED
A good idea just in case. It's also possible to pick it up randomly. But for two things so close together, er on the side of it not being
MOVED

(*Err) Coincidental.

A lot of that is just from memory, too.
MOVED

^That's a pretty good rundown on it.
MOVED

But take a look at that, it knows better than I do, most likely
