Just got back from a D&D game. You know its a good session when one of the players cries.

o.0 ...I kinda want context for that.
That is, crying out of game for a thing that happened in game.
Uhhh okay. Short and sweet version.
As the full one would take quite a while as the world phil built is rather large and impressive.
Basically. Our party was granted these magic rings by a group of nobles from a city we are helping.
The rings restore someone back to life if they die, and then the rings fizzle and break.
This is a low-magic world, however, so a person cannot just be raised normally.
And basically a Soul returned requires a different soul as payment.
Scott found out that his dying cost the life of a young noble friend of his who gave his life up willingly as payment so our mission could go on.
He spoke to his friend one last time before he was taken... and after the scene scott was a little teary.
It was an intense session with a lot of ups and downs.
My character and and NPC had died previously, so we had known of the cost, but didnt tell the others so they would not handicap themselves in battle...
My character broke and spilled it though after scotts death.
S'ohja is fun. Catfolk Barbarian. Rage and claws all the way.
