What's the pattern?

I don't use patterns. I have the basic skills I need to turn a heel etc..then I find a stitch I like and fit it into a sock.

The ones I am doing now ...the recipient does not want a patterned stitch so I am knitting round and round

Those always take me forever!

I was in a nine month slump / hiatus from knitting and now I am back and I have my sock rockets and they be flying off my needles.

Oh I need to try those sock rockets. I keep hearing how awesome those are.
