I had one of those days where I went against the wishes of my boss. I didn't just piss him off I took 10 of his best employees with me, wrote a nice letter to his investors and

made him withdraw a particularly threatening non-disclosure agreement. My as is on the line, but it was totally worth it. The next week will tell if I keep my job or get turned loose.

I LOVE my job and it was all a bit out of character for me, but I refused to be bullied or owned.

Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe is right. Hope it works out well for you.

On the plus side - I get the next 3 days off to stress out about it :-)

DresdenCeriano: I DID have to stand up. I just don't deal well with being threatened. I CAN deal with being fired though.

Was it not a Non-Disclosure that he had legal draw up? I'm under NDs and NCs but they had legal make sure it was tight before even asking for my signature. He Mr. Cocky?

The NDA would never hold up in court. It is entirely too far reaching. He even went as far as to threaten heirs if you give discuss proprietary information or give out trade secrets.

It is an aquarium - there are no trade secrets. He did have a lawyer draw it up and WTF! He was banking on a bunch of biologists being too ignorant about law to question it.

Mr. Cocky he is. And hyper-emotional enough to give Pep ammunition for years.
