Might be home a little late for show.
Hope you make it for some!
This looks like a funny one!
I'm here! Got here just when Charlie got there.
o hai Diabolical Baby! Being all adorably diabolical.
I'm late to the show myself- was on the phone with a friend and couldn't get off in time for the show.
I'll definitely have to go back to the beginning to see how Oz got involved in this story.
Dean is such a happy homemaker
He just cleaned, you know!
I am so hoping this is a dream!!
I'm not a fan of this one at all unless it is a dream.
Well, the green smoke is definitely matching The Wizard of Oz!! Love that!
Deblu: I'm wondering if it's about to be a dream.
I sure hope so! The episode is called "Slumber Party"
And they were all laying down watching a video.
I"m betting this is all a dream.
I love my boys but this IMO was one of the worst episodes ever!
I guess that ending wrong!
I seriously thought it was going to be Charlie waking up with the boys surrounding her just like in the movie.
That would have been a better ending.
It had cute little moments (like Sam saluting right at the point in the song where they say "we salute you") but yeah, overall not the strongest of eps.
I'm also puzzled how Sam can be still running around for the rest of the show after another "saving a life." Doesn't seem to keep with the theme of being weak after that.
Hmm. Well, I was expecting more out of this one I think...not only more fun but also more sense - I liked Dorothy and the witch effects and Oz glimpses were cool, but overall it all just seemed very
I do like how they put Sam's question "Zeke" out there though. He's got to be kind of suspicious at this point.
And he has to be realizing he's missing bits of time.
random and a scattershot plot. You're all correct in that the 'dream' ending would've worked much better, plus paid fun homage to the real WofOz...more so than this ep as it was did. Also, while I
Wouldn't Crowley be able to see more of the behind-the-scenes Sam? I'm a bit curious about that as well as Cas from last week. Is that why Cas was asked to go? Because he might be able to see Zeke?
liked Charlie much better since the last ep she was in (the one where her mom passed)...there was a little too much of her in this one. I kinda felt like the boys were guests in their own show...so
Just now watching the show ... I love the GoT reference, I remember reading an interview with Jared that he had just started season 1.
I have never been a fan of Charlie and if anything good comes out of this episode maybe she will stay in Oz!
yeah, overall just not the best ep. The only parts that really grabbed my attention were the Crowley scenes, Sam's sad comment to Dean about why he feels like he can't call the bunker home (hugs him)
ShutterBugs: I do not trust Zeke. He wanted Cas out of there for other reasons I'm sure.
and the part where Zeke emerged...but yes, I agree that after bringing two ppl back to life, it would've started taking a toll on Sam by now! Still obviously a lot more to come on how that plays out
And another weird part was the garage. Dean would have been going nuts over all the cars!
tho, of course...something tells me that there are going to end up being far more or worse consequences than Dean is expecting right now...
Deblu: I'm highly suspicious of him.
Wow, I'm getting a mixed bag of feelings about this one. I didn't like the synopsis I read about it, even though Charlie is in it and I really enjoy her. I'm still reserving judgment until I see it.
So, the preview was funny if anyone caught it (with Dean hanging his head out the car window.) I'm hoping for a really funny episode there!
I wanted to trust Ezekiel, but we've been betrayed so often on this show I'm sure he's not what he seems. And he has never mention what it is that Dean will owe him. That makes me a little nervous.
If he is going to vacate Sam's body at some point, he's going to need another "sturdy" one. That's been running through my mind.
As much as I hate to say it, but I'm beginning to think Zeke might be a bad guy, too. Good guys wouldn't be this secretive.
I'm afraid he will refuse to leave Sam. Who would want to give up THAT body??
True, true.
That's why I think he only would if he got another angel-worthy body.
I'm afraid he's really weakening Sam instead of strengthening him...but whether that's in secret maliciously or inadvertently when he uses his angel powers, not sure yet. He's definitely iffy now tho.
And if that's true, then he'd at some point HAVE to give up Sam as a vessel b/c yeah...otherwise why would he? LOL. Perhaps his former vessel will recover as Sam weakens, if that's indeed happening.
But I just think there has to be more to the fact that Sam collapses after a "life-restoration" than only what Zeke said...I honestly expect Sam to start collapsing more often in the future, for some
reason. Just a feeling...could be wrong but we'll see!
I had no major problems with it. Not one of my favorites but a hell of a lot better than my least favorite, the one with the guy with the dog familiar girlfriend.
Okay, I got it watched. I liked it a lot!! I thought I actually saw someone dressed as Dorothy in the preview, must have hallucinated that. I was afraid it would take place in Oz and be all cartoony and stupid.
But it was all in the bunker, of which we got to see more of, there is a kitchen and a SUPER COOL GARAGE!! Love Sam giving Crowley the paper and crayon, LOL. And Crowley saying he was a big fan of the WWof the
West. And he was whistling "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".
But Sam getting knocked out AGAIN?? When Zeke finally does leave him, he's going to be BRAIN DAMAGED.
Loved that Baum was a Man of Letters, and Dorothy calling the books silly and revisionist history.
I've always been a Charlie fan so loved seeing her again. And she'll be back because "There's no place like home." Sammy called the bunker home, daaaaaaaawwww.
I really wanted to see her wake up and have Sam and Dean standing over her, though!
And what with her saying early in the ep that there was no magic in hunting, I thought it would be so cool to have her dream everything.
I like your ending much better Met! I would have liked the episode better!
I think the whole point was that it was not a dream, like the movie was. This was the "real" story, the books were "revisionist" history, not what really happened. To me it wouldn't have made sense for it
I have mixed opinions about this episode. I LOVE Charlie, so that made me happy. And it wasn't quite as cheesy as I was expecting it to be, but it was still a little cheesy.
I really liked seeing more of the bunker
So there were definitely some things I liked about it, but the Wizard of Oz thing just didn't seem that realistic in relation to the show. Even on SPN there's a certain realism that this kind of violated
But it was entertaining. And I was suprrised to see that next week's ep looks lighthearted too, it's been a while since they've given us two of those type of episodes in a row
